Where To Find The Dundreary Landstalker In GTA 5?

Besides being involved in certain missions in GTA 5, you can acquire the Dundreary Landstalker by driving the other cheap SUVs or by looting it at the Thomson Scrapyard.

As a versatile and full-size SUV, the Dundreary Landstalker is perfect for tackling both on-road and off-road terrains. Hence, this car is ideal to put in your garage.

When you drive any low-cost SUV, such as the Habanero or BeeJay XL, the Dundreary Landstalker will be spawned nearby, driven by the NPCs. All you have to do is to take the vehicle from them.

On top of that, this vehicle can be found commonly in the Thomson Scrapyard, which is south of the Senora National Park on Cat-Claw Avenue.

Last but not least, this car can be taken when you’re joining missions, such as “Parenting 101” “Bail Bond”, and “A Starlet in Vinewood”.

Design and Performance

The Landstalker in GTA V resembles the 2007 Lincoln Navigator L with its extended wheelbase, chrome trim, and large roof rails, while also taking design cues from the 2006 Range Rover Sport and 2007 Ford Expedition. The Landstalker retains its previous design but with minor changes such as a shortened rear overhang, larger badges and chrome trim, and a front license plate.

The front seats are also lower, resulting in more head space for front occupants. The roof racks are no longer standard but can be added at Los Santos Customs. It may spawn with a two-tone color and has the same rim design as the base for the “Challenger” off-road wheels.

The Landstalker has a diesel engine that sounds similar to the Cavalcade. Compared to its previous iterations, it has lower-end performance and is now one of the slowest SUVs in the game. It has good frontal deformation but suffers visible damage in rear accidents.

The engine is sturdy, allowing the Landstalker to take multiple direct hits at full speed before failing. It has a large V8 engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox in a 50% Front, 50% Rear 4WD layout, with an engine sound similar to that of the Habanero and Rebla. The vehicle is better suited for short drives and off-road expeditions than high-speed pursuits.

Prominent appearance in missions

  • A baby blue Landstalker appears in the final Epsilon Mission.
  • A Landstalker appears during the first Bail Bond mission.

  • In the original version of Grand Theft Auto V, fitting the Landstalker with the Side Steps modification would add TV screens into the headrests, enabling it to resemble the M.O.B. Landstalkers from Grand Theft Auto IV. However, the TV Screens were removed in the enhanced edition.
  • In GTA III, the Landstalker wheel hubcap has the Honda logo on it, like the Sentinel. This is a developer oversight.
  • In the American Grand Theft Auto III game manual, an advertisement for the Maibatsu Monstrosity shows a rebadged Landstalker.
